"So I tell you , don't worry about the food or drink you need to live, or about the clothes you   need for your body. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes. Look at the birds in he air. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds."
                                     Matthew 6:25-26

Tuesday morning rise and shine it's 5a.m. Who would have ever thought that anything good could happen at 5a.m.? Not I that is for sure and most of you who know me can understand why I would assume that. But Tuesday morning that was what time our leaders chose to wake us up..yay!! They said "get dressed for the day. Grab a notebook, pen and your bible and be in the dining hall in 5 minutes." We had breakfast and by 5:30 a.m. we were out the door, in the 15 passenger vans and we were off for the day. We went into town and had our quiet time in the square in Matamoros..I was so cold and mad for being up at 5 I was so crabby. I am really trying to get out of that, it is defiantly something the Lord is working with me in. But one of our leaders Blair said okay we will come back together at 7:45 this is your time with Jesus. At this moment I literally said in my head "I don't want to spend two hours with Jesus". WOW, seriously I can say something like that and this man and his father still love me. How is that possible? Can it even be real? But oh it is so real and trust me my jaw dropped as soon as I said it in my head too. Then just like Jesus would he came and met me right where I was and he loved me and made me happy and I started reading the book of Daniel which I fell in love with. But to continue at 7:45 we came back together as a group, divided up into our little families and they drove us to a Colonial  called India and gave us our task for the day. We were going to be like Jesus and his disciples, we  were given a bag of sandwiches enough for us each to have one and two apples to divide up among us. We had in our bag 3 letters to open at specific times and we were told that they would  pick us up at 4:45...remember it's around 8:30 or so at this point.
So as we walked around this little Colonial all day we found different people to pray for, two little girls to play with and talk to, one precious little puppy with no home and so much more. Our eye's were opened to the simplicity of these people lives. They had so little but yet they are so rich they have food, water, and shelter. Truly I saw the kingdom of God in this I kept feeling so sad for these people for how little they had but then I was like K.C. these people don't need your sympathy. They live by so much more faith then I ever have, everyday at home I know I have food coming to me at least three times a day if not more than that. My mommy and dad and stepmom only have to work about 9-5 everyday to provide for me. These people that I was passing and talking to and feeling so sorry for have to work from 5 in the morning till sometimes 11 at night to provide sometimes only one meal a day for there family and that meal may only be a hand full of beans. That leaves no room to buy desert at dinner, snacks through the week, or a big steak on Friday cause it's the weekend and we feel like splurging. But these people have so much more than I do..everyday they get the chance to live by faith because sometimes they don't have that money for even a hand full of beans and they get the pleasure of trusting in the Lord to provide for them. If I miss out on lunch I get a little upset and depend on myself or whoever is in charge of me to get me food.
But hold on we got our chance to live like they do, to live by full faith and know some how some way God has us in his hands and he will make sure our needs (needs as in what we need, not want not what we feel like we have the right to but our actual needs) are met. I told you we had 3 letters to open. One we opened at 10 the second at noon (or lunch) and the third at 2:30. We sit down for lunch begin to divide out our sandwiches and Brittany opens our letter it reads "feed 6 people....Luke 9:12-17" This passage is where Jesus and the disciples feed 5,000. Well we all said ( looking at each other with these looks like is there anyway we can eat these sandwiches and still feed 6 people) looks like we are not eating today.
So much doubt we had, we had just been given the chance to feed 6 people and our first thought or at least mine, I don't want to speak for the rest of my team because I am not sure what they were thinking but I was thinking is there anyway around this?  Not even one minute later a lady walked passed us for the third time while we had been sitting on some rocks and we simply said "hola" she walks over to us and hands each of us an orange. The most amazing orange I have ever tasted by the way. I know at that time God was just saying "ye of little faith here you go you poor girls with no sandwiches I will PROVIDE for you" and that he did. We all sat with our mouths open looking up at heaven laughing for the little faith we had because we thought God couldn't provide for us lunch and praising him that he did. It was so eye opening and it was all God, that woman handed us the oranges and walked away.
Thank you God for showing up even when we doubt you, I think it makes you even that much bigger to us.

What do you need to be provided for?
Do you think it's to big that God can not provide?
He can I promise you; he can feed five thousand, he can feed 6 he can and will always provide for his people.  Have FAITH!!!
I love you and God Bless!!
